Season 2 Episode 9: Kitty Cone (1944-2015) was an American disability rights activist. She had muscular dystrophy (initially mis-diagnosed as cerebral palsy and polio). She moved to the California Bay Area in 1972, and began working as a community organizer for the disability rights movement in 1974. In today’s episode, we discuss her journey and some of the great advocacy work done in her lifetime.
